History of IMP COMFORT

The history of Industrie Maurizio Peruzzo Group dates back to the first years after the World War II when two brothers, Maurizio and Albino Peruzzo, in Valpadana company started the production of mattresses from textile waste material. Thus, they have shaped the philosophy of the Group up till now: to use waste material in order to obtain, by recycling, usable products of full value. These activities are continued until now by Ovattificio Resinatura Valpadana SpA, a company with the offices in Grantorto /near Padua/, currently Ovattificio Resinatura Valpadana Manufacturing Spa. The company was established in 1963 on the basis of VALPADANA and is currently operating the production of: polyester staple fibre, non-woven products for furniture, clothing and automotive industry. Since 1970 IMP GROUP developed rapidly

  • 1949 – Ovattificio Vapladana Srl in Fontaniva (Pd, Italy) was founded by two brothers: Maurizio and Albino Peruzzo;
  • 1963 – Resinatura Valpadana Srl in Grantorto was launched (Pd, Italy);
  • 1966 – Ovatex SpA was founded in Carmignano di Brenta (Pd, Italy);
  • 1970 – Sanitaria Valpadana Srl in Meledo do Sarego (Vi, Italy) begins its activity;
  • 1970 – VALPADANA Sud /Belizzi/ was launched,
  • 1973 – Ovattificio Valpadana and Resinatura Valpadana were merged into Ovattificio Resinatura Valpadana Spa (ORV Spa, Pd, Italy);
  • 1986 – Nuova Precompressi Spa with headquarters in Valsugana was established (Pd, Italy);
  • 1987 – Tessilbrenta Srl was established in San Nazario (Vi, Italy);
  • 1989 - POLOVAT Sp. z o.o. was launched in Świdnica (Poland);
  • 1991 – Ferrovalsugana Spa was founded in Grigno (Tn, Italy)
  • 1993 – IMP Comfort was founded in Świdnica (Poland);
  • 1994 – IMP Pomania was established (Romania);
  • 1999 – Production of PES and polyamide fibres was launched in factory of Fontaniva (Pd, Italy);
  • 2000 – IMP Polowat was founded in Bielsko – Biała (Poland);
  • 2002 – Netex with headquarters in Bistrit was purchased (Romania);
  • 2003 – Foundation of ORV Manufacturing Spa which took over the production activity and ORV Spa is transformed into holding.
  • 2005 – IMP Ovatex was created in Świdnica (Poland);
  • 2006 – BETONEX was launched in Bielsko – Biała (Poland);

 


HISTORY OF IMP GROUP in POLAND

The development of IMP GROUP in Poland is linked to the free market reforms that were introduced ain1989. This development was continued in 2000 - 2007 and was crowned in 2006 with establishing the plant in Świdnica, manufacturing polyester fibre on the basis of flakes obtained in the process of waste PET bottles recycling. Thanks to IMP Group, Poland joined the select group of counties with a closed production cycle of finished textile products based on recycled material.

Milestones of IMP Group development in Poland:

  • 1989 – Polovat was founded in Świdnica – the launch of production of nonwovens and sound insulation material for Fiat Cinquecento;
  • 1991 – Production plant of Polovat was launched in Bielsko-Biała;
  • 1993 – Production plant of Polovat was launched in Płock;
  • 1993 – launch of IMP Comfort in Świdnica – production of non-wovens for furniture, clothing and automotive industry
  • 2000 – IMP Polowat – plant in Bielsko-Biała – production of PET flakes based on post consumer PET bottles
  • 2005 – IMP Ovatex based in Świdnica– production of sound insulation material for automotive and household appliances industry
  • 2006 – BETONEX Sp z o.o. – production of reinforced and prestressed concrete prefabricated products.
  • 2006 – another IMP Comfort plant in Świdnica – production of PES fibre based on PET flakes, geotextile non-wovens and vertical non-wovens
  • 2007 – IMP Comfort plant in Łęczyca – production of high weight non-wovens.
  • 2008 – IMP Polowat plant in Łęczyca – production of PET flakes on the basis of post-consumer PET flakes.
